The synthetic peptide AMARAASLARRR can be used as a substrate for 5´-AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in in vitro kinase assays. It is phosphorylated by human AMPK in the presence of 200 microM 5´-AMP with a Km of 10 µM and a Vmax of 1.67 nM/min/mg.
